Sandy Neal is an art innovator who explores  the spaces between distinct artistic disciplines. The recurring crossover theme of his work is focused on blurring the lines between  art, fashion, interior and graphic design. His imagery juxtaposes light and dark, minimal and baroque, pop and classical, geometric and organic. He filters and deconstructs photographs to reconstruct them creating stunning stylized mosaic effects and weaves articulated materials like wood, metal, and acrylic into textiles. Textiles are meticulously sculpted into  garments or bold sculptural elements, everything is photographed and printed.

Neal's abstract works embrace the messiness of life- the imperfections, the connections, the tensions- allowing these elements to become the framework for something entirely new and evocative. Through abstract expressionism, he creates a space where symbols can evolve, where form and meaning can coexist, and where viewers can find their own stories woven into the fabric of his art

Neal began painting from a base in Barcelona where he also styled photos for fashion photographers, then transitioned to photographer and eventually began experimenting with fashion design. Influenced by the ever-present works of Spanish masters, Antonio Gaudi and Salvador Dali, Neal incorporated elements of architecture and surrealism into his creations, building what he called Body Mosaics®.

Neal has had solo exhibitions at Galeria Olegario Sotelo, located in Antonio Gaudi's masterpiece Casa Mila in Barcelona, and at Galery Simone in Paris, and has created costumes for Atelier Lyrique de Tourcoing.

Neal’s hand-painted Mirror Gown appeared at The Louvre in Paris as part of an exhibition on light and fashion, prompting Pacco Rabanne to dub Neal his "spiritual son". His work has been shown at The Chicago Cultural Center as well as The Athenaeum Museum of Architecture and Design. Neal has been featured at Galleria Marchetti on several occasions. Works have been presented in numerous international publications and shows, as well as on film and in video.
